Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital was the first hospital in Northeastern Kentucky to offer compassionate and quality same day surgery procedures at an exceptional surgery center. When the OLBH Same Day Surgery Center was designed, the hospital's healthcare professionals had one goal in mind - patient satisfaction. The OLBH Same Day Surgery Center is especially dedicated for patients not requiring an overnight stay after surgery. Numerous procedures are performed at the center including outpatient kidney stone removal, biopsies, stent placements, hand, joint, and shoulder repair, cataract removal, and laparoscopic procedures, just to name a few.

The Same Day Surgery Center continues to expand, including a $12 expansion that added additional procedure rooms for lithotripsy and cystoscopy and an additional operating suite. "During the two decades I have practiced at Our Lady of Bellefonte, healthcare has seen many significant advances," E.W. Unnikrishnan, M.D., OLBH urologist, said. "However, few are likely to have as great an impact as the rapid growth of outpatient surgery procedures."

The technologically advanced facility also offers a comfortable waiting area for families and a covered patient drop-off and pick-up location. A three-level parking garage located beneath the center offers convenient parking options. The center's upper levels include office space for physicians representing a variety of specialties.
